The Love Protocol

I've always wanted to be in a 3pc band. I've been in a 4pc, and have experienced having to step up when one was sick. That's the closest I got IRL to being in a 3pc band.

That's probably why I created The Love Protocol. A 3-piece band from Ethereum Mainnet, ApeChain, and Base. I'm not a stranger to writing songs, and composing something aside from a tweet seemed like a good outlet. Instead of limiting myself to a few characters that doesn't fully express what I feel for the Web3 space, I simply decided to put it into song. With the help of AI, my small musical background, and notes of lyrics on my phone, I've created three songs (so far) about being in NFTs, losing money, and making "friends".

I've always been interested in the idea of three different NFTs from different chains with the same general look. It didn't take me long to go with heart glasses traits to use for the 3pc project. I knew I wanted to create something about my love for Web3, and heart glasses was just a trait I see a lot. When the VOID NFT got listed, I immediately jumped on it since it has always been in my radar. I also knew I wanted a trippy ape, and during the time I had really enjoyed using my Geez files, so I got a 2nd one for my collection. The third one was tricky. I had my vocalist/guitarist VOID, and my bassist Geez, but there was nothing on other chains that fit the look. After a couple of months of waiting, Drifters finally arrived, and it was important because it was on Base chain, and allowed for customizing. Once I have opened my mints, and bought the accessories I was missing, the final touch was an iconic gas mask with heart shaped holes for the eyes. My drummer is now created, minted, and ready to join the band.

With AI being so easy to use with reference images these days, I still find it important and satisfying to utilize the files with certain NFTs. I think it's very fun to do album covers, and posters even if takes a whole day. I think this project is simply just that, doing things for the love of it - form time consuming 3D work, to making music, and NFTs.
